Development

Your baby will be offered health and development checks with a health visitor until they are around 2 years old.

Here is a short video which explains the role of a health visitor.

Below is a timeline to show when to expect these checks to take place.

If you have any concerns about your baby's develop or would like some advice you can contact Lincolnshire County Council's Children's Health team.  The team work Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.  You are able to leave a message outside of these hours.

The NHS website has information about your baby's weight and advice on how frequently your baby should be weighed.

Having gestational diabetes means you are ten times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes

A health visitor is a qualified nurse trained to help you, your family and new baby stay healthy.  A health visitor will visit you at home usually 10 days after your baby is born.

Talk to the health visiting team about any concerns you have, they can give you advice and suggest where to find help.
