There are lots of benefits to being active for your mind and body and it doesn't have to involve going to the gym or expensive equipment.
You may be unsure about which physical activities are safe. The good news is there are plenty of trustworthy resources available to help you make the right choices and to stay healthy. Continue reading and follow the links below to find out more.
It is important to check with your midwife or GP if you are already pregnant and thinking of starting a new activity.

If you're new to being active or haven't been active for a while then now is a great time to start. You can start with just ten minutes a day and build up from there. It is recommended for adults to do 150+ minutes of activity a week.

Keep up your normal daily physical activity or exercise (such as running, swimming or even walking) for as long as you feel comfortable. Please check with your midwife or GP if you are unsure about exercising in pregnancy.
